Dr. Mila Marshall is an environmental professional and journalist with a passion for advancing sustainability in all sectors. Her passion is directed toward urban food systems in segregated cities and works to identify and communicate the importance of healthy air, land, and water for people and agricultural commodities. She pivoted towards cannabis as the industry emerged in 2019, is the Education Committee Chair of the National Cannabis Industry Association, creator of the BIPOC Banking & Cannabis Summit, and current editor of Cannabis Corner for Chicago News Weekly. She assisted in the writing of HB 1438 making Illinois legislation the greenest in the nation and finds herself focused on communicating the impacts of climate change on the hemp and marijuana supply chain. Mila is an instructor at Oaksterdam University.
