I graduated from the Business of Cannabis course in, and it couldn’t have inspired me more to try and create something for myself.. I have a passion for cannabis, and … I’m super thankful to be dipping my toe into the industry and creating and selling products I love.

Oaksterdam was instrumental to me, from getting into the budtender awards and being a budtender to being in the industry in general. One of the main things that I think I took away from Oaksterdam University is the community. The staff that Oaksterdam has and the people that bring you into this Cannabis fold and this industry, they don’t give up! If Oaksterdam is on your heart, if you want to have Cannabis education, go for it! Trust me. There are avenues to get yourself into Oaksterdam University. They will not leave you behind.”

Shout out to Oaksterdam, you guys kill the game when it comes to education. If you’re new to the industry, and you don’t have any connections or friends that are already a part of the industry, you can have that route of learning from people who are doing it, who are in the industry who are experienced, who know what it takes

Oaksterdam was a life-changing experience … I could and maybe will write a book about it. I barely arrived from Brazil to study in the U.S. when I heard about Oaksterdam. I took the semester training and I not only had a blast but had all the doors of this amazing industry opened to me.

From being a casual smoker to someone with the skills and knowledge to help someone find exactly what they are looking for, I couldn’t have done that without the help of OU.

I thank God for Oaksterdam University for the simple fact that it’s refining my skills right now. It’s just fine-tuning my skills. It’s actually helping me narrow down my path in the industry, knowing all the different avenues in a clear and concise way. I’m taking everything back to New York with the power of Oaksterdam. I’m hype man.

I learned so much going to Oaksterdam University that I would not have learned otherwise, especially the pitfalls to avoid … I am in control of all aspects of my business. I am empowered to know what’s going on with the store at each level of both business and compliance.

What led me to enroll in Oaksterdam was a plethora of reasons — to understand in-depth how to build my brand and business within the cannabis sector, to immerse myself around cannabis professionals, diverse thoughts towards pro-cannabis investment, and to increase my chance of finding gainful employment in the cannabis industry. I think the name Oaksterdam on my resume will be helpful.

I came to Oaksterdam to sharpen my growing skills. It made me want to go deeper into everything that’s going on in the soil, the biology of everything. I also enjoyed being linked up together with a lot of people who grow. It worked out that we were doing it through Zoom because people from all over could join in.

I’ve learned a whole bunch about growing. The Horticulture Live Semester at Oaksterdam has led me down some other great paths and I’ve made some great connections. I love the class. I can’t wait to take the business class … I’m so sad it’s ending.

My dream goal has been to open an indoor facility and this project has helped me gather all the information I needed to piece it together. My teachers provided me with great knowledge and guidance through everything. I’m very thankful to Oaksterdam University

Taking the Business of Cannabis semester with Oaksterdam truly changed my life. It sparked my interest in the ancillary side of the industry, which has led to me applying to law schools to ultimately become a cannabis attorney!

I loved the interaction with the instructors, the support team responding rapidly, my classmates from all over the world, and the wealth of knowledge in becoming successful in the cannabis field.
