Maria Pettinato, RN, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the College of Nursing at Seattle University, Seattle, Washington. She is an experienced faculty member teaching Pathophysiology, Neurobiology, and Med/Surg nursing in both undergraduate and graduate programs on the East and West Coast of the United States for the past 25 years. Her research interests focus on sexual minority health issues and medicinal cannabis. She is the author of “Medicinal Cannabis: A Primer for Nurses.” She is the co-author of Oaksterdam’s Endocannabinology course.
