Jason Malcolm is the principal of Arcview Consulting, a cannabis business strategy professional service company. Jason brings a breadth and depth of business strategy experience to the advisory team. He spent 18 years in the financial services industry with a core concentration in technology rationalization, cost takeout, process improvement, and risk management.
Jason is responsible for daily operations, leading the practices of licensing, compliance, mergers, and acquisitions. He has a passion for helping others succeed in challenging and uncertain environments. Jason and his team advise and write application strategies for clients in all legalized markets and have a high margin of success. Jason has also effectively supported international clients entering the US market by utilizing Arcview Market Research Data and other data partnerships to ensure each need of consideration aligns with the client’s business model, aspirations, and demographic profiles. He supports clients through pre-licensing, license valuations, state expansion strategies, market entry and go-to-market strategies, and industry research through leadership pieces.
Before started his middle and back-office operations career at the Bank of New York Mellon, where he served as a mutual fund accountant. He soon realized client-facing roles were his career preference and accepted an entry-level management consultant role at BearingPoint, formerly KPMG Advisory Services. Jason focused on wealth management-related engagements, supporting his clients with private wealth anti-money laundering processes to adhere to The 2001 Patriot Act and merger integrations of NYSE and NASD Regulatory Agencies. Jason continued his career in management consulting with employers such as EY, FIS, formerly known as SunGard Consulting Services, and The Capital Markets Company (CAPCO). In these capacities, Jason focused on leading engagement teams and driving business development initiatives for large accounts to support overall revenue goals and aspirations. Jason launched Arcview Consulting, LLC, with two other founders in November 2020.
