Dale Schafer is a father, grandfather, veteran, educator, and guitar player, and has been an attorney for for over 35 years.
As a litigator, he tried cases before juries, judges, and arbitration panels that ranged from professional liability to contract disputes. For more than five years, he was a judge pro tempo, sitting in on settlements of cases in line for trial.
Within the cannabis industry, Dale has been a Prop 215 specialist and trial expert. Since 1999 he has represented more than 12,000 California cannabis patients seeking guidance and assistance under California law.
Today, Dale actively represents clients with or seeking local permits and state licenses for businesses ranging from cultivation to retail. His long history in the cannabis space allows him to understand the regulated and unregulated parts of the market.
Dale is an instructor in the Oaksterdam Legal Department.
