Oaksterdam really did open up my career path in a number of ways. I was 18 when I went and apparently you had to be 21 to intern so instead I just volunteered every day. I volunteered so much that I remember Aseem told me I couldn’t anymore because it was “unfair to others”. Those were the best times though because that’s when Big Mike passed down the tricks of the trade to me before his passing. I wish he could see where I am today, but I know he’s smiling down on all of us. Michael Parker gave me the tools I needed to successfully operate entire farm operations, and Debby Goldsberry was the one who connected me to my first real job in Cannabis as the chief Horticulturist and Senior Consultant in extraction for Alta California Botanicals. Without Oaksterdam I wouldn’t have had the beginnings of my career, and I am forever appreciative of that.
